Na sequência do grande sucesso de "Les Cloches de Lisbonne" (versão francesa do "Fado da Madragoa"), Maria Cândido (de seu verdadeiro nome Simone Marius) gravou em 1963 o tema "J’aime Lisbonne (Lune de Miel au Portugal)" que obteve o ‘Grand Prix des Vacances'.
O tema foi posteriormente gravado, em 1964, por Tino Rossi (*), um dos mais famosos cantores franceses do século XX, e pela Orquestra de Franck Pourcel, com o título de "Lune de miel au Portugal".
(*) Tino Rossi interpretara anteriormente "Les Cloches de Lisbonne" e "Serénade Portugaise".
